Do I charge a leisure battery the same as the regular vehicle battery?

My vehicle is a camper van, so the leisure battery is also in the engine compartment.

2. Yes, they can be charged the same as a car battery. always remember to charge in a well ventilated area, remove any caps, check the fluid level, never stand the battery on a concrete floor. Trickle charging is best, a car battery is made to give a high amperage to start the car, a leisure battery is made to give a smaller amperage over a longer period. This is why a fully charged leisure battery will not start a car.
