What is social work, who are social workers, and what do they do?

What do they do? Does anybody have any EXPERIENCE as a social worker? What are some careers for social workers? Does an MSW help get you any hard to find or hard to get jobs? Does anybody have any bad experiences with social work? Any good ones?

1. Well when i talked to one they see how you are doing emotionally and with your family, and set me up with a therapist when i was 16. they check up on kids to see if they should be living in their homes with their parents or not.
