If i draw social security can I work in a foreign country?

I've heard that you cannot work if you draw social security. Is that true? If so can you draw social security if you live and work in a foreign country?

1. You can work all you want and draw the retirement benefit. It used to be there were income restrictions, but those were abolished during the Clinton years. If you are on SSI, you're supposed to be disabled, so you probably can't work anywhere under that program.
