Can the fiscal conservatives/social moderates beat the fiscal liberals and the social liberals? In the East Coast ? Or is it gone forever ? )= How about fiscal conservative/social libertarian ? Social moderate = Neither socially liberal nor socially conservative but a blend or in between Social libertarian = Every social issue is seen from a small government perspective , from the light of the constitution , from the bill of rights , history and what not I've noticed that fiscal conservatives all over the USA tend to be dissatisfied with both social conservatives and social liberals and in the East Coast they are hungry for social moderation or social libertarianism Can they beat them ? How about fiscal conservatives/social moderates in conservative states as well ?
How well do fiscally collective societies work without social collectives? To operationalize my terms really quick, a fiscal collective structure would be a strong welfare state, where through the tax system people are interconnected and fiscally dependent or attached to each other to operate, and any action creates domino effects. Social collective is the idea of individuals being place below an institution, or in general, individual pain comes after societal pain. For example, high taxes are pains towards individuals to further general societal welfare, the need of the collective trumps the individual rights in this aspect, but does this lead to further trumping of the individual? I've been wondering about this for quite a while now, a lot of the east asian cultures have social collectives in place as traditional institutions, and between east Asian countries you have individual and collectivist fiscal settings. But the recent combination of fiscal collectives and social individualism is relatively new within the west. There is generally a perversion between these concepts when they are combined, as one is more dependent on the other. That social individualism gives way to fiscal collectivism, money generally speaks better and protections and increases to fiscal collectivism requires restriction of social individualism (and fiscal individualism but that is a moot point). I classify the EU as the poster child for this combination with fiscal collectivism being the traditional institution, and social individualism bieng the newer insitution. while, pre 1930 US fiscal/social individualism, 1930's lead to an increase in fiscal ties, consequently the 40s/50s would very much be classified period of increaed social collectivism, WW2 draft, red scare, etc. In the 60's/70's it moved toward social individualism while staying a social collective, the following decades have been pushing towards social collectivism again. So, question #1, Are these institutions at odds, is such a system unstable (meaning it will change to something else) in the long run? question #2 So as fiscal collectivism increases in the US, do you expect to see an increase in social collectivism? question #3 What are your thoughts on the topic?
How does Social Services work in terms of foster children? To elaborate on this question, I mean to say this: How do Social Workers work, exactly? Is social ballroom a good way to start before learning competitive? I'm 17 years old and I just started social ballroom dance lessons. I love it so much and I realize I would like to learn how to compete. But where I live I would have to drive an hour and a half to find a place that teaches competitive ballroom. Is taking social ballroom a good start for now to learn the basics? How long does it take for someone to go pro usually? I dont have any guys that would be my partner either.
What's the difference between History and Social Studies? I'm on Collegeboard and it's asking me how many years of Social Studies I've taken. I've always thought that social studies was the same as History, but it also asks me how many years of History I've taken. I plan on taking two years of History (I'm a Sophomore) and I don't know what they mean. The college I want to go to (UNC at Chapel Hill) doesn't require history, but they require three years of social studies. Would my two years in History (World History and US History) count as social studies? Are Social Studies and History both the same? If not how would I fufill their requirements? http://collegesearch.collegeboard.com/academictracker/servlet/ACTServlet?English=4&History=3&Foreign_Language=4&Math=4&Science_total=3&of_Science_Lab=2&Social_Studies=0&Electives=4&AP_Course_Ind=Y&SAT_Critical_Reading=+&SAT_Math=+&SAT_Writing=+&ACT_Composite=++&ACT_English=++&ACT_Math=++&GPA=10&Class_Rank=4&action=p&collegeId=3635&greyLeft=true -Please help
How can social programs be compared to plantation slavery? Amazingly, some people here compare our social programs to plantation slavery. On plantations, blacks were FORCED to work without pay, and yet the many people who have the nerve to compare our social programs to the plantations also accuse black Democrats of all being welfare recipients or slackers in the same breath. Well, which is it? Are black Democrats slaves or are they slackers? You can't have it both ways.
How does Social Security Disability or Social Security Insurance Fraud cases work? I have been on Social Security for many years and have on occasion received certification letters in the mail. What does social justice and equity mean? I have looked through all the answers on this question previous and this is what i've come up with. 'Social justice means being entitled to the same rights and services as all other citizens, which obviously would be hard for someone that only earns $2 a week. Equity refers to fairness and providing people with equal rights and incomes, taking into consideration that people come from different cultures, backgrounds and so on. It is very similar to Social Justice.' Can anyone tell me if that sounds correct? It appeared that there is disputing opinions on this topic. Thanks for any help.

What have social networking sites done for you in your relationship building? Professor mentioned that proximity is a major factor in relationship building-that relationships can only form when you are around the other person more frequently. However, I challenged my professor and asked her, "With the prevalence of social networking sites today, can you say that what you just said is not at all true?" She paused and said, "... Good point josh. Do a report on it." So here I am now, I'm asking all of you. What have social networking sites done for you in your relationship building in the past years?
What duties can a social worker perform in a work setting that a clinical psychologist cannot perform? Long story short, I want to be a social worker and my father thinks I should be a clinical psychologist (no doubt due to the waived tuition and stipend provided by most doctoral programs). He thinks a clinical psychologist would be able to do anything a social worker does in a work setting. So, I am trying to find out the difference in duties and responsibilities. More specifically, what can a social worker do that a clinical psychologist can't...

Has anyone taken social work jobs requiring the transportation of kids or adults? i've seen a few social work jobs, and they all require social workers to feel comfortable enough to transport kids, or the elderly. in some of the agencies it even says something about being bilingual. the bilingual isn't severe to me, spanish isn't that hard to pick up and understand. its just the whole concept of transporting kids or adults to various regions! sounds scary about the whole transporting people. but i guess it is something i have to do since of the field i want to work in. as far as the whole transporting schizo patients i would really freak, they would have to be strapped down in their chairs good!

Lets say your some social place and your in a group of people or a crowd and somebody says something and one of the people who have great genes or social skills or whatever says something like "what are you talking about" or "wtf" or what have you. In the persons mind they are just talking or curious or whatever and the elite or whatever you wanna call it sees it as an opportunity to attack or think that person is weird. What are some different social ills that can be found and taken pictures of around Las Vegas? I am doing a project for history and our job is to take pictures of some social ills that can be found in society today. Such things as graffiti, pornography, etc. Except, every one in my class is using the same topics and I want to be unique. And I need to make sure I can go out and take pictures of what ever social ill I have chosen with out it being posed (must be natural, I can't set up the scene). Any suggestions?
How do fugitives get a new social security and a new name? Sometimes teenagers use fake ID/drivers license to either go to a bar, watch R rated movies, but you need a social security to live and work in the US. The Social Security Number tells everything about the person once you enter it into the computer, so if you get a false social security card and some one runs you into the computer you the results might come back as doesn't exist or belongs to some one else.

What is the impact on Corporate social responsibility on companies and employees? Can you add more, agree or disagree with what I wrote? The search for Social corporate responsibility has roughly the following characteristics: Collective- Companies would not only have to report its performance to its shareholders, they would have to report it to its employees, media, the government and to the non-governmental environment and at last to the communities working in it. Companies would only have to gain the inclusion of its new social partners in the decision-making processes. A more participative dialog would not only represent a change of the company behavior but it would also mean more social legitimacy.
